Lois’ Lodge
We are so excited to share our first major project with all of our supporters! The LOT Foundation has the pleasure of serving the good people of Lois’ Lodge – a non-profit organization whose mission is to help women and families experiencing an unexpected pregnancy.
Not only do they provide a maternity home for some of these ladies, they offer guidance and assistance to many more through their Mom Shoppe program.
Using the nationally known “Earn as You Learn” program the Lois’ Lodge Mom Shoppe is able to enhance the learning process for families experiencing unplanned pregnancies by giving them a chance to earn Shoppe Cash for doing things that will positively influence their future and the future of their child. The Shoppe Cash can then be used to purchase items for the baby such as diapers, formula, cribs, car seats, etc.
Families earn “Shoppe Cash” by going to classes to learn about subjects such as parenting, cooking, adoption, health care, or career skills. Upon completion they can earn rewards of Mom Shoppe currency. These opportunities are availiable to the residential clients residing in the Lois’ Lodge Maternity Home and to non-residential clients residing in the community. The goal of this program is to provide thier clients with items for themselves or their babies while teaching them to be responsible and to work toward their goals.
The Mom Shoppe depends a great deal on donations and have been so blessed by the outpouring of love in the community that they have run out of space! A local church has offered them space for a donation processing center in their converted warehouse and The LOT Foundation is making it perfect for them! This will be a place that donations are accepted, processed, stored for use in the Mom Shoppe.
We are doing a complete upfit and would be grateful for any donations! The following is a list of current needs, or feel free to donate on our website and we will purchase the following items.
